We had a very early start to get out to California. Ok…. early for me; not so early for Will on a work day. We were surprised to arrive at the airport to find out that our plane flights had been changed. It wasn’t going to have any adverse effects on our travels so no biggie.
Once we got to ORD to get our plane to Palm Springs, we realized that half the plane was headed out to Coachella too. That was fun.
We had a nice view of the Rockies on our way west. I know it’s only April but there’s still so much snow!
Our first view of Palm Springs.
As you might expect in a desert at the base of a mountain, they have an enormous wind farm. It was really cool. This doesn’t even show half of them.
Upon our arrival at the Palm Springs airport, we were slightly unsurprised to find that it was open-air. Ok, Will was more surprised than I was. We were able to meet up with Howard to wait for the rest of our crew. That’s the tail of our plane on the right.
Once we had all of our people and the car, we headed out to our house – we could have walked there from the airport.
The front with the behemoth Suburban; Living room.
Our very own heated pool and Spa; Back of the house.
With this crowd it didn’t take long for the electronics to come out and take over the house.
Family dinner – take out Thai. YUM! Ok, I may have been influenced by the length of time since the last time I’d eaten.
After dinner it was just a long struggle for me to stay awake until a reasonable hour even though we were on East Coast time and had been awake since 4:30.
Wow, that looks like such a cool house! What a fun trip!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool house! Did you know any of the other people or was it just a shared house kind of thing?
ReplyDeleteIt was fun (more blog posts coming soon when we've recovered a bit more).
ReplyDeleteMichelle - they're all Will's friends from A&M. Some of them have been going to Coachella for 8 years.
