See... we're going to need to list our condo for sale soon (with luck in the next few weeks) so we have a lot of things to do around the house before we have a realtor come in. Many tasks are small but a few are a little more labor intensive. Over the weekend we made a list so that we would have specific tasks and goals and each day I've been trying to identify a few things to work on each evening. We have vague plans to go to Niagra Falls and Toronto for Veteran's Day weekend but we won't make it there (or I won't enjoy it) if we don't have the majority of these things accomplished.
Here's the list:
- Remove cork boards (x2)
- Remove items
- put in Basement
- Remove most pictures (personal)
Including fridgeIt looks so sad now- Paint touchup
- walls
- obvious furniture
- Deep clean
- Wash windows (in/out)
- Top of coffee table – strip and repaint
- Empty cubbies (of junk)
- Top of dresser – keep Will’s stuff in the open to a minimum
- Move to basement or elsewhere:
- rolling shelves
- rock band
- guitar
- trombone
- Wii basket
- Club chair and ottoman (replace with chair from IKEA which is in NJ)
- Bar stools
- eBay
- catalog
- list for sale
- if sold, mail
- if didn’t sell, take to Goodwill
- Goodwill
- gather
- catalog for tax purposes
- deliver
- Declutter
- Closets
- kitchen cabinets
- other visible areas
- under night tables
- end table in living room
- kitchen counters
- Hang mirror in bedroom
- Reorg basement / make room for more stuff
- Chalk board – declutter, depersonalize
- Cull magazines that have been collecting I've been working on this one for over 2 weeks. My ultimate goal is to end up with 2 "scrapbooks" of clippings - one for fashion and one for home decor. I have magazines and catalogs from most of the year.
- Replace hallway lightbulb with a regular one
Bathroom
- Different DampRid
- "Fix" wallpaper around medicine cabinet - I have a plan. It just needs to be executed.
- Painting in the cracks/seams
- Recaulk tub - grouting necessary?
- Door squeak
- Faucet handle squeak
