nyc - natural history, central park, & broadway

For our second day in the city, we began by going to Times Square to get tickets to a show. Then it was off to Bryant Park for a cache.

I got stopped by a fashion blogger who wanted to take a picture of my shoes. It's an awkward site but if you start here and scroll down past the one picture of a lady - not just shoes - those are my feet!

A quick stop into the New York Public Library before heading on our way.

Afterward, we headed back to Levain because they had given us a wrong cookie the day before. We ended up having lunch there before going to the American Museum of Natural History.

After communing with the dinosaurs there (and running into Will's boss), we went looking for a few caches in Central Park.

I watched this couple get engaged while Will was looking for a cache

Dinner off 5th Avenue at Papillon Bistro - we'd gotten there before the dinner rush so we got a table by the window overlooking the street. The food was great and it is clearly a popular place as it was really busy with the happy hour crowd by the time we were leaving.

We still had time to kill before our show so we wandered around Times Square for a while. We'd decided to get tickets to Rock of Ages because, well, they were cheaper than most of the rest and it sounded funny. It sure was. It was absolutely a hoot. If you want "Don't Stop Believin'" stuck in your head - go see it. The lead role was played by Constantine Maroulis who was on American Idol and Franz was played by Tom Lenk who we are familiar with as Andrew on Buffy.
